How to Build Stronger Team Relationships

Why I Am Offering Small Business Strategy Blueprints to Entrepreneurs and Owner-Run Companies

Recently I had a conversation with a business owner who has built a very successful company. His business is busy, the work keeps coming in and he has built a solid reputation in his industry. Yet during our discussion he said something that I hear from many entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses.

“I simply don’t have the time to tweak my website or think about social media.”

It is a familiar challenge for many small business owners. They are focused on running the business every day. Managing operations, dealing with clients, overseeing staff and keeping everything moving forward leaves very little time to step back and look at the bigger strategic picture. Marketing planning, website improvements, social media strategy and brand positioning often become things that are pushed aside simply because there are not enough hours in the day.

That conversation led to me sitting down and building a full strategy plan for his business. I worked through the business overview, market positioning, SWOT analysis, competitor analysis, marketing strategy, branding direction and social media planning.

During the process something interesting happened.

I rediscovered how much I enjoy building business strategy and marketing direction. It reminded me how naturally this type of work comes to me and how much I enjoy analysing a business, understanding its market and designing a clear strategy for growth.

It also reminded me of something important about my own journey.

I have been an entrepreneur for 32 years and during that time I have founded and co-founded three businesses. All three were built from the ground up with zero capital and no client base. Every client had to be found, every relationship built and every opportunity created from scratch. Building businesses, understanding markets and creating strategy is something that has been part of my life for decades. In many ways it is like breathing.

Over the years I have worked extensively in leadership development, emotional intelligence training and coaching, but this project brought me right back into the strategic and marketing side of business development that I have always loved.

It also highlighted something I see regularly when working with entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Many business owners are excellent at what they do. They know their industry, they know their craft and they know how to serve their clients. What they often do not have is the time to step back and analyse their business strategically. Website updates, social media planning, marketing positioning and competitor analysis require focused thinking time that many owners simply do not have while running a busy operation.

That realisation led me to make a decision.

I will now be offering Small Business Strategy Blueprint planning to smaller businesses and privately owned companies who want a clear roadmap for growth but do not have the time to build that strategy themselves.

The Small Business Strategy Blueprint provides a structured approach to understanding the business, analysing the market, identifying opportunities and building a practical marketing and growth plan. It includes business overview analysis, SWOT analysis, competitor review, marketing strategy development, brand positioning and social media planning.

For business owners, the outcome is clarity. Instead of random marketing activity or scattered social media posts, they receive a clear and structured strategy that helps guide their business growth and visibility.

For me, this work feels like stepping back into an arena that I know well. After more than three decades of entrepreneurship and building businesses from the ground up, helping other business owners structure their strategy, positioning and marketing direction feels both natural and deeply rewarding.

And I am genuinely thrilled to be back in that space.
